Sodium Cholate is the general name of a class of bile acids existing in bile. It is a white powder, odorless,
bitter in taste, and its alkali metal salts are easily soluble in water and alcohol. The natural bile acid usually
exists in bile by combining peptide bond with glycine or taurine and sodium and potassium ions to form bile
acid salts.

normal bile can be divided into two major groups according to their structure: One is free bile acids, including

free bile acid and glycine or taurine combined products, called binding bile acid. It mainly includes glycinocholic
acid, glycinodeoxycholic acid, taurocholic acid and taurocholic acid.
