Application & Function
Saccharopolysporasinosa (Saccharopolysporasinosa) is a secondary metabolite produced by Saccharopoly
sporasinosa. It is a new type of agricultural antibiotic produced by saccharopolysporas. The main active
components were SpinosChemicalbookynA and SpinosynD. The discovery was made by a chemist on vacation
in the Caribbean of a new type of actinomycete isolated from soil near an abandoned sugarcane saccharery.
The enzyme was tested for its anti-mosquito larval activity.
