What is Mitiglinide Calcium ?
Glylinide hypoglycemic drugs have the characteristics of quick, strong and short effect, avoiding the occurrence of hypoglycemia and other adverse reactions, and there is no adverse reaction of α-glycosidase inhibitors in the gastrointestinal tract, so they are more competitive in the market. Miglinide can stimulate the pancreas to secrete quickly and briefly only when eating. The effect is quick and the effect lasts for a short time. Miglinide calcium is the third glycinide hypoglycemic drug after repaglinide and nateglinide. It was
developed by Japanese pharmaceutical company Kissei and approved by Japanese Ministry of Health
and Welfare on January 29, 2004. It was first marketed in Japan in May 2004 for the treatment of type 2
diabetes. It is a first-line treatment drug for early and mild and severe type II diabetes patients, and has
the reputation of "in vitro islet".
Clinical trials have shown that these drugs are superior to other hypoglycemic
agents so far in terms of efficacy and safety. They are a new type of "mealtime blood glucose regulator" that
can promote secretion by islet cells. They are suitable for type 2 diabetes patients who cannot
effectively control hyperglycemia through diet and exercise therapy, and are mainly used to control postprandial
hyperglycemia.
