An Introduction to Azithromycin :
Azithromycin is a kind of antibiotic drug widely used in clinic. It has the advantages of broad antibacterial spectrum, little irritation to the gastrointestinal tract, fast oral absorption and so on. It is used by both adults and children. Azithromycin is one of the most commonly used antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial infection-related diseases in Chinese hospitals because of its smaller side effects than cephalosporin antibiotics.
Application and Function Of Azithromycin:
1. It is used for acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes, and acute attacks of sinusitis, acute otitis media, acute bronchitis and chronic bronchitis caused by sensitive bacteria.
2. It is used for pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, influenza bacillus and mycoplasma pneumoniae.
3. For chlamydia and non-multi-drug-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae caused urethritis, cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease, non-multi-drug-resistant gonorrhoeae caused by simple genital infection (need to exclude the co-infection of spirochaetes melnospira).
4. For skin soft tissue infection caused by sensitive bacteria.
