What is Praziquantel?

Praziquantel is a synthetic drug for broad-spectrum deworming discovered abroad in the 70s. After it was reported to be effective for schistosomiasis in 1977, it was tried to be produced domestically in the same year and proved to be effective for schistosomiasis in Japan. It is a colorless crystalline powder, odorless and slightly bitter, and very stable under normal conditions.
