What is Amikacin Sulfate?
Veterinary Medicine Amikacin sulfate is a semi-synthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic with a similar antibacterial spectrum to gentamicin, and is effective against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Proteus. It is also effective against other aminoglycoside antibiotic-resistant strains. Amikacin sulfate (BB-K8) is a semi-synthetic, which can bind to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and cause mRNA reading errors, resulting in the inability of bacteria to synthesize what is necessary for their own growth protein. Amikacin sulfate is an anti-infective drug, used to treat urinary tract infection, sepsis, skin infection, bone and joint infection, pneumonia and lower respiratory tract infection caused by sensitive bacteria.
