What is Stiripentol ?
 

Stiripentol (Stiripentol), a new drug marketed in 2007 for the treatment of epilepsy, is chemically named 4, 4-dimethyl-1 -
(3, 4-methylene dioxyphenyl) -1-pentene-3-ol [4, 4-dimethyl -1-(3, 4-methylenedioxyphenyl) 1-penten-3-ol]; 4-methylenedioxyphenyl)
1-penten-3-ol]; French researchers reported that in addition to sodium valproate and clobacam plus stapentol (Sripanto), can
effectively treat severe infant myoclonic epilepsy; Stevalyl alcohol (Sripanto) is an inhibitor of cytochrome P450. Stypentyl
alcohol (Sripanto) is effective in the treatment of severe myoclonic epilepsy (SMEI) when used in combination with Clobacam
and sodium valproate. The Washington University School of Medicine in Missouri, US, said it was difficult to determine whether
the combination of drugs was causing seizures in patients because it works by increasing blood levels of other drugs such as
Clobagan and sodium valproate.


Fuction of  Stiripentol 

Stapanol (Sripanto) has a unique mechanism of action, which can both increase GABA release and inhibit the activity
of certain enzymes, thereby increasing the blood concentration of other antiepileptic drugs. Stamentol (Sripanto) was
approved in the European Union in 2001 for the adjunctive treatment of severe infantile epileptic myoclonic seizures.
Effects and Uses Stepentol (Sripanto) has a unique mechanism of action, which can not only increase the release of
